Digital Imaging

Tri-City Dental Excellence offers digital X-rays for your comfort and convenience. Digital X-rays are computer-generated images captured via a small electronic sensor. A picture of the tooth is instantaneously transmitted onto the monitor in the treatment room so we can see your teeth and surrounding structures immediately. When compared to conventional film-type X-rays, digital X-rays require up to 90% less radiation and are environmentally friendly.

At Tri-City Dental Excellence, we comfortably treat even the most fearful of patients. We offer Nitrous Oxide sedation for simple procedures. Also, Dr. Smith is among the less than 1% of dentists in California trained and certified to perform Intravenous (I.V.) Sedation. This is most commonly referred to as “sleep” dentistry and is a very safe and comfortable way to receive just about any dental procedure including full mouth reconstructions and smile makeovers in the absolute minimum number of appointments. I.V. Sedation may be perfect for you if you:
• Have put off dental treatment due to fear or anxiety.
• Are afraid of needles and shots.
• Have had bad dental experiences before.
• Have a very sensitive gag-reflex during dental treatment.
• Just can’t seem to get numb.
• Feel your teeth may be too far gone for traditional treatment.
Wake up to a more healthy and beautiful smile with amazingly comfortable sedation dentistry.

Preventive dentistry is the area of dentistry concerned with preventing dental problems before they become costly or painful, or both. A large part of preventive dentistry is patient education. This includes learning the proper at-home dental care, nutrition, etc. Another aspect of preventive dentistry is oral hygiene through regular dental cleanings, fluoride treatments, mouthguards and more.

At Tri-City Dental Care we make every effort to ensure that you, our patients, are well-informed and educated on proper at-home dental care so as to avoid, as much as possible, the need for restorative dental services.

We offer state-of-the-art restorative dentistry if it becomes necessary. We know that even when you do everything right, something can go wrong. If you are suffering from a dental problem, we are here to help. Modern technology combined with the in-depth experience of our clinical team can assure you of a successful and long-lasting result. Whether the cause is an accident or disease, we can restore your smile with the many restorative dental services we provide. In many instances, a tooth colored restoration is all that is needed to return your tooth to a healthy state. In some instances, advanced restorative methods may be necessary.

The CEREC 3® – Same-Day Dental Crowns

With the CEREC 3, getting a dental crown takes only one visit instead of the traditional three. After creating a scan of your mouth using advanced 3D imaging, the CEREC 3 system creates matched, custom dental crowns out of natural ceramic that can be installed immediately. Dental crowns in one visit means restoring your smile without taking extra time off from work or school.

Call Tri-City Dental Excellence today to see how our dentists can help repair your smile in one easy visit.

Endodontic Care

Put simply, endodontic care is the term for the treatments and procedures we will use to save a tooth if it becomes infected or injured. Endodontics involves treating the tissues inside your teeth and includes root canal therapy.

Dental Implants

Dental implants are man-made replacements for natural teeth. The implants themselves are artificial tooth roots anchored in the gum and jawbone, on which replacement teeth are permanently secured. Because implanted teeth are fixed in the mouth—rather than being removable, like dentures—they allow a return to the comfort and function of natural teeth. Increased chewing ability means you can enjoy more nutritious foods, contributing to your overall health and well-being. In short, dental implants improve the quality of your life. They can improve your appearance, boost your self-confidence and allow you to speak with greater clarity. If you are in need of, or interested in a dental implant, contact us today for a complementary implant consultation.

If you’ve lost some or all of your teeth from decay, injury or periodontal (gum) disease, dentures are an additional solution. Whether you need partial or full dentures, they’re essential not only to improve the look of your smile but also your oral health. In addition to allowing you to eat as if you had never lost your teeth, dentures also protect against facial sagging that would otherwise occur and cause a more aged appearance. Dentures can also improve your speech. In most cases, dentures can also be supported by dental implants, further increasing the stability and function. Denture maintenance combined with a regular regimen of proper brushing can guarantee you’ll lead a more comfortable and healthy life.

Having a great smile can make a huge difference in the way you look and feel. We offer a complete range of cosmetic dental services to create the confident smile you’ve always wanted. We begin with a detailed, customized smile assessment, discussing with you which aspects you like, or dislike, about your smile. Once our assessment is complete, we will discuss with you cosmetic dentistry options to help your smile look more natural, healthy and youthful.

Zoom!® In-Office Teeth Whitening

Now you can have significantly whiter teeth in a matter of minutes. Both comfortable and affordable, Zoom!® in-office teeth whitening can make your teeth up to six to eight shades lighter in as little as 45 minutes. Zoom!® in-office teeth whitening is safe, effective, fast and performed only by dental professionals.

Porcelain Veneers

Porcelain veneers are an excellent alternative to crowns and can perfect your smile by masking stains, hiding chips, correcting misalignment and creating uniformity. Our porcelain veneers, which are made of thin, customized material, are designed to slide over the teeth, look incredibly natural, are long-lasting and are relatively easy to apply.

Invisalign® Invisible Braces

Invisalign® is the revolutionary way to help you get straight and even teeth without noticeable and painful metal braces. Virtually undetectable, Invisalign® aligners are made of a strong, clear plastic that gradually guide your teeth into perfect alignment. Unlike metal braces, they have no wires or brackets. Tooth impressions are obtained, from which Invisalign® develops customized aligners that will slide directly over your teeth. Aligners are typically worn full-time (except when eating or drinking) for 12-48 months—no longer than you would wear traditional metal braces. Aligners are replaced every two weeks as your teeth shift into place.

Oral Surgery

Sometimes it becomes necessary for a tooth to be removed because of crowding, disease or trauma. No matter the reason, we use a conservative approach with all oral surgery procedures, commonly called tooth extractions. We will perform your oral surgery with expert skill to ensure the most comfortable recovery and the best possible result.

Sleep Apnea

Did you know that people with sleep apnea can stop breathing for roughly 10-30 seconds at a time while they are sleeping? This can happen 5 to 30 or more times per hour, and hundreds of times throughout the night! If you suffer from sleep apnea or snoring, we can help. Through the use of oral appliances, you’ll avoid the health consequences of sleep apnea, including increased rates of depression, diabetes, heart disease and stroke. These devices will also help relieve snoring, leading to a better night’s rest for you and your partner.
